Opal L. Halbrooks was born in Pleasantville, TN on May 22, 1929 to the late Bessie Joyce and Daniel Tanner. She passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 92.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams, and her sons, Norman Williams and Hillard Williams.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Betty) Williams, Clinton (Sherry) Williams, and Milton (Joan) Williams, as well as a sister, Oweda King.

A visitation with Opal’s family will be held on Wednesday, January 26 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Hickman County.  A funeral service for Opal L. Halbrooks will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the McDonald Funeral Home Hickman County.  Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Pleasantville, TN.
