Hackert, Jack Lorin, Sr
Jack Lorin Hackert Sr., born January 29, 1951, in Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Duck River, Tennessee.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Alvina Swick Hackert, and his sister, Minna Cunningham.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Karen Shaw Hackert; his sons, Jack Hackert (Judy), David Hackert (Cindy), Jeremy Hackert, and Joshua Hackert; and his daughter, Amanda Hight (Robert). He is also survived by his brothers, Allen Hackert (Jackie), Arthur Hackert (Rose), Dan Hackert (Connie), and Don Hackert (Susan); his sisters, Mary Lou Hudson, Robin French (Richard), and Rose Rudd (Jeff); his grandchildren, Brianna, Joy, David, Alex, Cody, and Tristan; numerous great-grandchildren; and his beloved fur baby, Maggie.
Jack began his working career with General Motors while living in Dansville, Michigan. He later relocated with GM to Hickman County, Tennessee, when the Spring Hill Plant opened, where he proudly retired as a machinist.
Around town, Jack was well known for his cream-colored pride and joy—a 1959 Fury. To his children, he was not only a father but their best friend, and he was truly loved by all who knew him. Above all, Jack was a faithful servant to his Lord, and throughout his life, he led many to Christ through his words and actions.
