Anthony Grippi, Sr., 64, died Tuesday, July 9, at his home in Linden after a battle with cancer. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 11, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at MacDonald Funeral Home with Pastors Marcus Webb and Bill Webb of Blondy Church of God officiating. Burial will be in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Grippi, born December 15, 1937, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, was the son of the late Anthony T. and Josephine Sapenzia Grippi. He was United States Navy veteran and a self-employed Mason. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Grippi of Linden; two sons, Vincent Anthony Grippi of Columbia, Anthony T. Grippi of Linden; a daughter Noreen Hudgins of Hohenwald; a sister, Connie Caiola of Long Island, New York; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Grippi.
