Griffy, Robert Thomas
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Thomas “Tommy” Griffy on January 21, 2025, at the age of 71.
Tommy was born on October 30, 1953, in Franklin, Tennessee, to the late Jessie Beck and Annie Lee Walls Griffy. He spent his early years growing up on a farm in Kirkland, Tennessee, where he developed a deep-rooted love for life and all things mechanical.
A lifelong mechanic with a passion for engines, Tommy loved nothing more than riding motorcycles and embarking on new adventures. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he spent countless hours assisting friends and neighbors in fixing their vehicles—a testament to his generous spirit and the genuine care he had for others.
Tommy was predeceased by his sister, Jessie Lee Griffy. He is survived by his sister, Pamela Phillips of Milan, Tennessee, his brother, James L. Griffy of Primm Springs, Tennessee, and his extended family—Mitchell, Dana, Brad, and Devin Hargrove of Lyles, Tennessee.
Tommy’s legacy as a loving brother, a true friend, and a community pillar will be cherished by all who knew him. In remembering him, it was never goodbye, we hold onto his words: “I’ll see you later dude’.”
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.
