Horace “Billy” Gray was born April 7, 1938 in Hickman County to the late John and Emma (Cathey) Gray.  He received his formal education in Hickman County.  He was an employee for the Town of Centerville until he received an incapacitating injury that resulted in his becoming a permanent geriatric resident.  He was a twin to his brother, Harley “Bobby” Gray. He was married to the late Elise Cooper Gray.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Emma Gray, wife Elise Gray, and five siblings, brothers,  Harley, John, Robert, Burnice (Ray) and sister, Eunice “Faye” Gray. 

He leaves to cherish his memory six stepchildren,  three sisters, Frances Stone who remained by his side and oversaw his care until his death along with her daughter Shenia Fowlkes of Centerville, TN, Sue (Leamon) Pierce of Chattanooga, TN, and Mary Gray of Nashville, TN and one brother Gordon Gray of Nashville, TN along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held on 7 Dec 2019 beginning at 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.   Funeral Services will be held on 8 Dec 2019 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Mike Kelley is to officiate services..  Burial will be held in the East Side Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
