Graham, James Harvey
James Harvey Graham was born June 11, 1936 to Anna Louise and John Harvey Graham. He spent 86 years on this earth. In those 86 years, he was a husband to Rebecca Louise Bennett Graham. He was the father to two sons, Burton Graham (wife Retha) and Gary Graham (wife Pam). He was the grandfather to Misty Fite (husband Jason) Todd Graham (wife Kim) and Macy Lomax (husband Chris). He was a great-grandfather to Ethan Webb (wife Katelyn), Jacob Fite, Kaylie Watkins (husband Murphy), Jace Fite, Paige Graham, Jaxon Fite, Levi Graham, and Cazden Lomax. He was also a great-great grandfather to Maylynn Fite.
James worked his whole life to provide for his family on and off the farm. Ole #7, as known to his Union Carbide co-workers, retired from the workforce in May of 1996 to devote his time to farming and his family. James lived a life devoted to the Lord and was one of the godliest men you could know. His entire life was an example of Christianity, servitude, the definition of selfless love and the perfect example of what a man/husband/dad/papa should be.
James loved God first and others second. He was the most perfect and precious man to his family. James told his family years ago “don’t talk about me when I go, tell others about Jesus.” So if you don’t know our Lord and Savior, he would tell you to find someone that does right now and find that relationship.
James left this earth surrounded by his family Monday morning, December 5, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Harvey, and brothers, Billy and Don Graham. He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca; sons Burton and Gary; grandchildren, Misty, Todd and Macy; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Kaylie, Jace, Paige, Jaxon, Levi and Cazden; great-great grandchild, Maylynn; brother Jeff Graham; sisters-in-law, Charlotte, Nancy, and Joan Graham; and brother in law, Johnnie Bennett.
