Betty Orton Graham was born August 21, 1934, in Hickman County and died December 13, 2019, at the age of 85. 

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Audie and Mollie Fuller Orton, sisters, Ann Orton and Elsie Hoover, and brother, Robert Orton. 

She is survived by her husband Reece Graham and sons Bennett (Wendy) Graham and Bob Graham, granddaughter Sara Graham, great-granddaughter Anna Grace, sisters Delphia Orton and Wilma Mathis, and brother John Orton. 

Betty worked for Home Beneficial Insurance Company for 10 years and then assisted Reece in the office of their home-based independent insurance agency.  Memories of helping her mother piece quilts as a child sparked her interest in needlework. She especially enjoyed needlepoint and was a member of The Nashville Chapter Embroiderers’ Guild. 

Betty met Reece at Home Beneficial where they both worked. They married November 26, 1955, and shared a very special love and bond for 64 years. She was a member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. 

Visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ, 6833 Old Charlotte Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed with burial at Harpeth Hills Cemetery, Nashville, TN.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The service will be officiated by Dr. Joe Billy Graham and Josh Barnett.   

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort or a charity of your choice.
