Thurman Howard Gordon was born on November 15, 1936 in Lyles, TN to the late Jonnie Lee McCoy and James Clifton Gordon, and he passed away on April 28, 2019 at the age of 82.

He served in the United States Army and worked as a Hickman County Sheriff’s Deputy. He was a member of the Rocky Valley Church of Christ.

Thurman Gordon is preceded in death by his child, Richard Allen Gordon, and his brother, Mike Gordon.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Allene Allen Gordon; daughter, Connie Gordon Stone; son, Ronnie (Rita) Gordon; sisters, Jean Martin and Martha Goins; brother, Norman Gordon; grandchildren, Kristen (Brad) Garland, Blake Stone, Gavin (Annie) Gordon, Garrett (Amber) Gordon; and Matthew (Paige) Gordon; great-grandchildren, Bennett Gordon, John Swaffer Gordon, Oaklee Gordon, Ensley Garland, Emberly Garland, and two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Visitation with the family will be held on 1 May 2019, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 2 May 2019, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held on 3 May 2019 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
