Raleigh Lee Goodman was born December 30, 1937, to the late Ruby Goodman and Clyde Satterfield.

Raleigh was educated and graduated from O.H. Bernard High School in Centerville, Tennessee. In 1961 Raleigh enlisted in the United States Army, retiring in 1984, with 23 years of service. He returned to Centerville in 1994 to be close to his mother.

While in service, he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG), serving two tours in Vietnam and 12 years overseas duty.

Raleigh was also preceded in death by a son, Raleigh Pigg and sister, Betty Dobbins. He is survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. Sisters, Ella Mai Woolridge, Emma Jo McClain; Step-brother,  Sam Carter, cousins, and friends along with good friend, Carl Hill.

Visitation will be 26 Jun 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Graveside Services will be conducted on 26 Jun 2021 at 2:30 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
