Luis Enrique Gonzalez, a cherished soul known for his loving nature and kind heart, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 37 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on December 19, 1986, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Jose and Maria Gonzalez, Luis’s passion for life and his family’s traditions traveled with him across borders and into the hearts of everyone he met.
Luis’s culinary talents were widely recognized, and he brought joy to many as a chef at Los Hermanos in Hohenwald. His colleagues and friends at the restaurant will remember him not only for his extraordinary dishes but also for the warmth he extended to all.
Luis’s love for food was only matched by his love for the outdoors. He found tranquility in fishing, the excitement in soccer, and joy in barbecues. He was happiest when he was outside, especially when visiting the Ranch, a place that held a special place in his heart.
A family man through and through, Luis deeply cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his parents, Jose and Maria Gonzalez; his children, Marta Cardenas, Litzy Gonzales, Kevin Gonzales – the apple of his eye – and Evelyn Gonzalez; his siblings, Juan, Victor, Eduardo, Osvaldo, Hugo Gonzalez, and Jose Armando; and his beloved granddaughter, Dalayza Aguilar. Each family member carries a piece of Luis’s spirit in the way they live and love.
Luis’s legacy is one of compassion, laughter, and an unshakeable commitment to his family. His children remember him as someone who always had time for a game of soccer or a lesson in life.
Friends, family, and all those touched by Luis’s generous spirit are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on October 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on October 18th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. The service will be a celebration of Luis Enrique Gonzalez’s life lived to the fullest. Burial will follow in Swiss Cemetery.
