Ralph Curtis Givens Jr. was born on January 14, 1966 in Dickson, Tennessee and passed away at his home in Lyles on April 9, 2023. He was 57 years old.

He is the son of Ralph Curtis Givens Sr. and Patsy Lorett Jenkins Givens.

In addition to his parents he is survived his son Nick Givens of Lyles. Sister Jennifer Jacobs (Patrick) of Centerville. Nephew Slade Jacobs. Cousin Ronnie Givens. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Mr. Givens graduated from Hickman County High School and later obtained an associates degree in robotics.

He is a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Wrigley Congregation in his younger years and most recently had began attending Fairfield Congregation with his parents.

He worked for many years as a maintenance technician at Nissan. He was great at his job and was able to keep the robotics up and going to drive much of the body assembly portion of the plant.

Ralph loved politics. He is a former Hickman County Commissioner. He even had a Facebook group he started called the Conservatives of Hickman County.

He also loved football. He was a proud supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Tennessee. That love for football carried over into his work with the East Hickman Jr. Pro. He was the director for several years and was instrumental in the development of the fields after their donation.

Ralph was a dedicated father to his son. He taught Nick much throughout life. He will be deeply missed by all of his co workers, friends, and family.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00 – 8:00 PN at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with Mike Kelley officiating.   Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Centerville, TN.
