Gibson, Lynn
Mr. Lynn Gibson, 69, of Lobelville, passed away Saturday July 12, 2025. He was born in Hohenwald to the late Fernie Gibson and Sylvia Baars Gibson. He was the oldest of five children and grew up in the Pineview community.
After graduating from high school, he began working at Kolpak. Lynn was employed at Kolpak in Parsons as a Sheet Metal Team Leader, where he had worked for over 40 years. He was an avid coin collector and had lady luck on his side when it came to scratch off tickets! He was long regarded as an accomplished sportsman in deer hunting: however, as he grew older, he chose to stop hunting and developed a preference for observing deer instead. He loved his family very much and was a friend to everyone he met. He was a wonderful person inside and out and will be deeply missed everyday by everyone that came to know him in his 69 years of life.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Jean Gibson, a brother Eric Gibson, a nephew Justin Little, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his children Josh Gibson, Greg Gibson and Courtney Gibson, his sisters Lisa Gibson of Waverly, Stacy (David) Breece of Centerville and Tena Cude of Lobelville, two nephews Dylan Leegan and Lane Cude, on niece Anna Kilpatrick and one great-niece Rylee Kilpatrick and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
