Jimmy Ronald George was born in the Swan Creek Community of Hickman County, TN on December 7, 1942 to the late Earnest and Catherine McCaleb George and entered eternal rest on August 3, 2023 with his pet buddies Smokey and Sandy by his side at the age of 80 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers Ervin and Johnny and a sister Debbie and by his infant son William Randall George.

Mr. George is survived by his wife of 62 years May D. George, sons, Norman (Christina) George and Ronny (Teena) George, granddaughters Shelby (Justin) Bates, Betsy (Mark) Licciardello, Jr, great grandsons Hudson Bates and Mark Licciardello, III, sisters Faye Craig, Margaret (Donald) Durham, and Karen (Jim) Hollolway, sister in law Francis (Richard) Warren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mr. George was a lifelong tool and die maker where he was nicknamed and known as “H Y-Gras”. He was a very colorful and charismatic person and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service for Mr. George will be 17 Aug 2023 at 11:00 AM at Campground Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
