Louise Gammons was born in Greasy Hollow in the Only Community of Hickman County, Tennessee, on December 9, 1930, to the late John Douglas and Susie Alice Petty Shanes and died September 17, 2020, at the age of 89 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gammons was preceded in death by her husband Jeffie Eugene Gammons, her son Donald Gene Gammons, sister Mildred, and brothers Robert, Willie, and John D. (Buck).

Mrs. Gammons is survived by her sons Ronald Dean (Gail) Gammons and Jeffie Eugene (Debra) Gammons, grandchildren Barbie Filson, Bonnie Gammons, Douglas Gammons, and Jennifer Minick, and great-grandchildren Autumn and Dean Filson, Emmerson, Carson, and Parker Minick, and Landon and Laton Gammons, and many nieces and nephews.

For a short time before before she married, Mrs. Gammons worked at Loveless Cafe on the square in Centerville.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 18, 2020, at McDonald Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mrs. Gammons will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Rochelle Cemetery in Centerville.
