Fuller, James Burton
Mr. James “Jim” Burton Fuller unexpectedly passed from this earthly world on September 7, 2021, at Williamson Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. He was born on October 18, 1947, in Bainbridge, NY to the late Fred and Thelma Fuller. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers.
At the age of 17 he had his parents sign his papers to protect our country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he spent his working career as a maintenance professional for various companies.
On May 31, 1992, he married his true love, his soulmate Ms. Colleen Lovestand. The two have been attending First Baptist Church of Hohenwald together for the past five years. Religion played a major role in Jim’s life, and he was proud to be named a Child of the King. In their time together they enjoyed living life to the fullest and traveled where their hearts lead them.
His love for others was never second guessed. He had a very outgoing, kind, and caring personality that would shine through the moment you met him. He loved to laugh, and his infectious smile would often brighten the room. It was his sense of humor that brought he and Colleen together. When not traveling or singing in the Church Choir he loved woodworking or relaxing and getting lost in the chapters of a good book.
Along with his wife he is survived by his son Michael Hurley, grandson Shawn Hurley, and granddaughter Lexi Sather.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held Friday September 17, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Hohenwald beginning at 5:00 pm. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. Brother Bert Spann will be officiating.
