Fredrick Tribelhorn
The picture is of Fredrick (Friedrich) Tribelhorn. He was born 26 February 1857 in Switzerland. His wife, Bertha, and daughter, also named Bertha, were born in Switzerland. Their son, Charles, was born in Milwaukee. They came to this country and settled in Milwaukee, WI. Bertha Tribelhorn was homesick for Switzerland and moved to New Switzerland, later Hohenwald, looking for a place similar to what she left. Shortly after arriving, Frederick Tribelhorn lost his life. His body was found in a well leaving the family to believe he was murdered for money carried in his possession for the school system. Mrs. Bertha Tribelhorn married J. J. Moser in 1902 and later relocated back to Milwaukee.
