Dwight Karl Fowlkes was born on December 2, 1950 to the late Willie Clay Fowlkes, Sr. and the late Elsie Orderlee Fowlkes. He departed this life on January 19, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Wright Kent Fowlkes; sister, Mary Louise Fowlkes, and brothers, Edward B. Fowlkes and Mark Lee Fowlkes.

During his childhood, he attended Columbia Avenue Church of Christ and went to O.H. Bernard School in Centerville, TN. He loved nature and was a Boy Scout. After school, he had a long career at the local Levi Strauss & Company. Dwight enjoyed spending time with family and enjoyed the company of his friends. He was blessed with many life-long friendships.

Dwight will forever be remembered by his siblings: Joseph A. Fowlkes (Bertha) of Centerville, TN; Willie C. Fowlkes, Jr. (Alberta) of Cleveland, OH; Ophelia A. McShane of Cleveland, OH; Linda G. Fowlkes of Centerville, TN; Alvaskar W. Fowlkes (Cathey) of Centerville, TN; Elton E. Fowlkes (Shenia) of Centerville, TN; Earl M. Fowlkes of Nashville, TN and Ellen M. Fowlkes of Centerville, TN. Others who will cherish his memory are his sister-in-laws, Linda F. Fowlkes & Lofrazier Webster (Felix) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be 24 Jan 2019, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held 24 Jan 2019 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc – Hickman County. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
