Mrs. Lydia B. Floyd, of Hohenwald, passed from this life on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the age of 97. 

Lydia was born on January 9, 1924, to Arnold and Fannie (Smith) Conner, here in Lewis County. She married her best friend, Glen Floyd, on February 17, 1944, and was a dedicated wife and homemaker until his passing in 1991. She briefly worked for Henry I. Siegel here in Hohenwald as well. Her and Glen were members of the Methodist Church here in Lewis County.

Lydia is survived by her daughters, Glenda (Chuck) Stowe of Hohenwald, and Joan (Barry) Huff of Roopville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Simone (Brian) Hinson of Hohenwald, and Rob Griner of Decatur, Alabama; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Hinson, Olivia Hinson, and Sara Griner; one brother, William Conner, and three sisters, Wilma Graham, Jean Tabb, and Ruby Williams.               Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandchild, Mark Stowe, and three sisters, Nina Clay, Faye Pennington, and Leo Fielder.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 1:00 PM the Palestine Cemetery. Bill Sharp & Blake Farr will officiate.  McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
