Farmer, Mary Moon
Mary Moon Farmer, passed away peacefully on the last day of 2023, December 31st, at the age of 93. Born on October 21st, 1930, in the serene town of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Mary was a woman whose life was as full and bright as the moon she shared her name with. Her departure from this world occurred in Columbia, Tennessee, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family.
Mary was the cherished daughter of the late William James “Bud” Moon and Maudie Estelle Clark Moon. Throughout her life, she upheld the Christian values she held dear. She is survived by her siblings, Tommy Moon, Jimmy Moon, Bonnie Curtis, and Janet Cotham.
With the tenderness of her heart and the strength of her character, Mary became a central figure in the lives of her grandchildren, Sonya Crowell (Phillip) and Kelley Gay (Chris). Her legacy flourished through her great-grandchildren, Brayden Armstrong, Layla Gay, Justin Crowell, and Quinten Crowell (Sara Beth), who were the lights of her life and her joyous pride.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday January 3, 2023, at Memorial Gardens beginning at 2:00 pm. Brother Bill Webb will be officiating.
