England, Kenneth W
Kenneth Wayne England, Sr., age 73, a beloved resident of Hohenwald, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical University.
Ken was born in Williamson County, to the late Arnold Lee England and Ada Mae Fields England. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly spending time outdoors, where he cherished moments hunting and fishing. In his earlier years, Ken pursued various professions, including driving a tractor-trailer truck and a concrete truck, but it was farming that truly captured his heart. He had a passion for music and even dabbled in playing in a band. However, his greatest joy came from spoiling his grandchildren, often treating them to his famous peach cobblers.
Ken is survived by his wife, Mary J. England; son, Wayne (Christy) England of Columbia, and daughter, Christy (Keith) Logue of Maury County; and stepchildren, Juli Lindsey, Jessica Lindsey, and Jade West. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, as well as fond memories, to his brother, Charles (Shirley) England, and sisters, Debbie Ratliff, Suzie (Tim) McKennon, Linda Nelson, Martha (Mike) Westmoreland, and Carol (Mickey) Petty. His presence will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Kayla (Jacob) Reeves, Cheyenne (Brent) Reed, Christopher Scales, Tony Scales, Marcus Scales, and Lilly Logue, as well as his eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Larry England, and sister, Kathy Anderson.
Services were held Thursday, May 2, at Shackleford Funeral Directors in Collinwood. Interment followed at Cromwell Crossroads in Collinwood.
