Kerri Dawn Ellison was born on August 11, 1983, in Columbus, Mississippi. She passed from this life on August 31, 2022, at her home at the age of 39.

Kerri’s kids were the most important things in her life. She was a proud dance mom to her 2 girls and proud rodeo mom to not only her son but to his rodeo friends, too. Kerri has been fearless her whole life. She grew up following her daddy around the ranch – doing everything that he did. She could bid on cattle and work a ranch better than most men could.

She is survived by her parents Kenny & Patsy Ellison and Larry & Rebecca Bennett; her 3 awesome redheads Bentley Matthew, Briley Ann, and Bailey Kate; sisters Kristy (Trent) Barnett, Katie (Jamie) White, Toni Franklin; nephews Preston Perdue, Hayden Barnett, Tyler Brooks; grandmother Mary Jane Ellison and fiance Jason Brewer.

She was preceded in death by her niece Ashley Brooks and brother Brandon Ellison.

Visitation with Kerri’s family will be on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the chapel at McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County with burial to follow in Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.
