Edwards, Sharon June
Mrs. Sharon June Edwards of Hohenwald, passed away on Tuesday, February 1st at the age of 70. She was born June 14, 1951, in Hohenwald to the late Leonard Carlton Edwards & Bessie Belle (Spears) Edwards.
She was a quiet, soft-spoken lady, who was very talented and outgoing. During High School, she modeled and was a singer in the High School band, it was because of her modeling that she was the “Herald” girl for the Nashville Christmas Parade one year, where she carried the flag at the beginning of the parade and lead it through downtown Nashville. She also loved to knit, and made numerous pieces for her family and friends, and continued this until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She was a member of the Lomax Church of Christ. Her family described her as a very strong and courageous woman who fought through many illnesses. She is no longer in pain but at peace with Jesus.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria (Richard) Hinson of Hohenwald, brother, Rick (Regina) Edwards of Linden, TN, sister, Linda (Ron) Boyle of Hendersonville, step-son, Thomas Swaw, step-daughter, Kimberly Swaw & one grandchild, Kirsten Hinson.
There are currently no services scheduled as Mrs. Edwards wishes were to be cremated. She will then be buried next to her mother in the Lomax Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN, at a later date.
