Dunning, Anneliese
Anneliese “Uschi” Dunning, 79, of Hohenwald, TN, born December 21, 1940, in Nixdorf, district of Schluckenau (Sudetenland) was welcomed into heaven on July 28, 2020. She was reunited with her loving husband of 57 years, Charles “Chuck” Dunning and her mother Maria Renner.
As a loving wife and mother, she is survived by her children, Angela M. (husband Doyle) Lawson, Spring Hill, TN, Sarah L. (husband Brandon) Pace, Hohenwald, TN, Jeffery J. (wife Deborah) Dunning, Grand Rapids, MI, Jonnie (husband Joey) Keilholz-Repp, Bibergau, Germany, Belinda (husband Greg) Zielinski, Mosinee, WI. Her loving grandchildren are Kelley Buckley, Amanda Tupper, Myra Tenison, Kaden & Kinley Pace, Katja, Kessi, Gabriel, Konny, and Judith Keilholz, Blair Hoen, Bobbie Jo Kennedy and 8 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, Marcia Dunning and Linda Dugal, along with several nieces and nephews.
Anneliese was proceeded in death by her husband Charles Dunning, parents Gustav & Maria Renner, siblings Ossi Renner and Lotti Krueger, and in-laws George & Maxine Dunning.
Uschi served her family with extraordinary love and care as a homemaker while later in life working part-time as a florist. Her favorite pastimes were tending to her garden, knitting, enjoying the company of family and friends, and sharing the incredible history of her life as a WWII survivor in the ruins of East Germany. The extreme hardships she endured never stopped her from living this life to the fullest; loving, laughing, and demonstrating her unwavering faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Uschi loved her family and God with her whole heart. Her awe-inspiring legacy will live on throughout the generations to come.
A celebration of life for both Chuck and Uschi will be held graveside at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hohenwald, TN, as their ashes will be placed together in their final resting place. Services will begin at 6pm on Saturday August 8, 2020 with Sarah Pace presiding.
In the event of inclement weather, services will be held at Adair Funeral Home with graveside burial thereafter.
