Johnnie Pearl Duncan died Friday morning, December 12, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 85. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, December 13, 2003, at 11:00 AM, in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Elvis Williams, minister of the Flatrock Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Connie (Roger) Pennington of Hohenwald, a daughter in law, Carolyn Duncan of Hohenwald, and three granddaughters, Jana Eastland of Franklin, Amy Duncan of Martinsburg West Virginia and Becky Pennington of Hohenwald. Mrs. Duncan, a former Genesco employee, was born May 28, 1918. She was the daughter of the late John Henderson and Anna Fite Churchwell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Ward Duncan.
