Carolyn Joyce Sublett Duncan of Hohenwald, Tennessee left this world at the age of 81 on December 29,
2023.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jana Eastland and Amy Duncan. Also her brother, Kenneth Sublett, and sister, June Estes. She also leaves behind her two best friends Lynn Brown and Sue DeNicolais.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Duncan. Her parents William and Georgia Sublett,
brothers William Sublett, Wayne Sublett, Harold Sublett and sister Doris Dorning.

Carolyn was the youngest of 7 children. She was born in Athens, AL, and grew up in Hohenwald. She had
the best childhood!

She found herself raising two girls after the death of Dale in 1980. Her life was never the same. She was
a hard worker and determined. She became a realtor and then a broker and started her own business
Alpine Realty. She reluctantly retired early due to health issues, which took a huge toll. She loved yard
work, quilting and enjoyed a moon pie while watching sports. She will be missed so much!

A graveside funeral service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Swiss Cemetery in Hohenwald, TN. Please dress appropriately for cold weather.

In lieu of flowers, Carolyn would like donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her honor!
