Dickson, Robert Lee
Robert Lee Dickson, a cherished father, uncle, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center, at the age of 71. Born on August 29, 1952, in Waynesboro, TN, Robert’s journey was one marked by kindness and a life rich with interesting tales.
Robert was predeceased by his loving parents, Dave, and Rebecca Dickson, as well as his siblings Johnny Workman, Sam Workman, J.D Workman., Cliff Workman, Dolly Fulmer, and Loudelle Lemay. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his son, Lee Dickson; his special nephew, Dan (Teresa) Workman; and his brothers, Paul (Sherry) Dickson and Earl Dickson. Each family member was touched by Robert’s gentle spirit and his unwavering support through the years.
An avid collector, Robert found joy in the simple pleasure of adding to his impressive array of knives and coins. Each piece in his collection had a story, and he could often be found recounting the history and personal significance of his finds at various flea markets to anyone who would listen. His passion for collecting was paralleled only by his love for movies. A true movie buff, Robert delighted in watching and re-watching classics.
Those who knew Robert would describe him as the epitome of kindness. He approached life with a sense of wonder and a gentle demeanor that drew people to him. His conversations were filled with interesting anecdotes and insights, reflecting a man who deeply valued the world.
