Diamante, Johanna Vink
Johanna W. Vink Diamante was born on August 11, 1921, in the Netherlands and passed away on July 4, 2019, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was 97 years 10 months and 24 days old.
Mrs. Diamante grew up in the Netherlands. She moved to the United States after meeting her husband during World War II. The two were wed over 60 years at his passing. She was a homemaker and was proud to say that she raised her 5 children. She was active with many charity projects. In particular, she spent much time contributing to and volunteering with the Hickman County Humane Society. Johanna loved helping with any veterans service projects as well and was in frequent contact with our local veterans office. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Stemming from her early life sewing furs in the Netherlands, she made clothing for her children, and even several wedding dresses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anthony Diamante Sr, son, Tom Diamante, brothers, Anton, Bob, and Gearhart and one grandchild.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony Diamante Jr. of Centerville and William Diamante; daughters, Connie Dolan of Centerville and Carmen Phillips of Utah; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
