Mrs. Lois Roden Denton passed from this earthly life on December 14, 2022. She was born in Lewis County, TN on July 18, 1932 to the late John Brown and Sallie Odom Roden. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Denton, a son Garry Denton, a brother Herman Roden and a grandson, Kyle Lankford.

Mrs. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church in Hohenwald and had been since 1990. When thinking about her, most will likely remember her working. She loved to work and over the years had several different jobs, starting at Genesco, working at the Lewis County High School Cafeteria, working for Triangle Shell and then as many will remember seeing her working at Wal-Mart. In her free time, when she was not working, she loved to make cookies and mow her yard.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Dicus (Loyd), Mackey Denton (Brenda), Donna Lankford (Ron) and Brian Denton (Jennifer); ten grandchildren: Laura Dicus, Troy Dicus, Amy Vinson, Phillip Denton, Gwen Skelton, Mark Lankford, Diana Lankford, Katie Ramirez, Harrison Denton and Adelaide Denton. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the Denton family will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10:00 until service time at First Baptist Church. Services will begin at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
