Davis, Dennis Lee
Dennis Lee Davis of Clifton was born on June 6, 1958 in Hohenwald, the son of the late John Bradley Davis and Annie Elcia Pope Bates.
He was a farmer but had previously worked in the maintenance department of Genesco Manufacturing for 20 years and the Tourney Center Annex for 16 years. Dennis attended the Clifton Church of Christ in Clifton and departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the age of 64 years and two months.
He is survived by his companion, Dyanne Haddock of Clifton; a son, DeWayne Haddock of Clifton; his daughters, Andrea Skelton and husband, Chris and Sevina Davis, all of Waynesboro, and Amanda Harville and husband, Mike of Clifton; his grandchildren, Nolyn and Ethon Staggs, Sayler and Ledger Skelton, Blane and Destiny Lester, Chloe Smith and Gracie and Bella Haddock; a brother, Bennie Davis and wife Kim of Hohenwald; a sister, Joyce Walker of Warner Robins, GA; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, James Earl Davis, and a sister, Shirley Ledlow.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, with Tracy Love officiating. Burial was in Balcum Cemetery, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
Pallbearers were Nolyn Staggs, Sayler Skelton, Ethon Staggs, DeWayne Haddock, David Horner and Ashton Smith with Ledger Skelton serving as honorary pallbearer.
