Ruby Carol Ashmore Darnell, age 92, of Summertown, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Lewis County Nursing and Rehab in Hohenwald. She was born March 28, 1926. She was a native of Lewis County, retired from H.I.S. Mfg., and a member of Summertown United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dink and Pearl May Burlison Ashmore; her husband, Joseph Ray Darnell; one sister, Florine Darnell; and two brothers, Odell Ashmore and James Ashmore. She is survived by son, Ronnie Darnell (Regina) of Summertown; granddaughter, Rhonda Darnell Haygood of Summertown; two great-granddaughters, Rhalyssa Haygood and Rhabecca Haygood of Summertown; and sister,  Alma Ashmore Hall of Summertown. A funeral service was conducted at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, February 15, 2019, with Thomas Mattox officiating.  Interment followed at Hinestown Cemetery in Lewis County.
