Mayzelle Dansby, of Centerville, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 77 on April 30, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on January 25, 1948, to the late Douglas Claud Dansby and Gertrude DePriest Dansby.

Mayzelle is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Summer Dansby Boyd of Centerville and Harriet Dansby of Bellevue, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Josephine (William) Grimes and Rozella Dansby.

A cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, Mayzelle’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Nicholas, Adrian, Nate, Jade Alise, Elijah, and Carlos; her great-grandchildren: Kenley and Donte; and her extended great-grandchildren-in-love: Presley, Aris, Arianna, Davian, Nate, Lito, and Eliza.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brothers, Douglas Dansby (Martha), Andrew “Berry” Dansby (Nannie Ruth), and Joe Louis Dansby (Lillian); and her granddaughter, April Boyd.

Mayzelle dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working for many years as a healthcare technician in the medical field. Her warmth, compassion, and strong family bonds will be remembered always by those whose lives she touched.
