Vera Lee Cummins was born April 8, 1933 and died on September 3, 2019 making her life here 86 years 4 months and 25 days.  A native of Centerville, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Annie Wells Cunningham. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas “Pap” and Joseph Cunningham, sisters, Annie Grimes Delk, Audrey Cunningham, Clembere “Kim” Cunningham, Jenny Satterfield, Louise Chavers and Loretta “Rhet” McGreen, nieces, Carolyn Cunningham and Gina McGreen, Great-grandson, Tyqurious “Ty” Allen,and her former husband and lifelong friend, Norsell Cummins.

She is survived by her children, Kelvin “Doug” Cummins and Karen Cummins-Marks, son-in-law, Thomas Marks Jr. and adopted son, Charles Hampton. Brenda and Joe Scates. Siblings, Rebecca Crosby, William Cunningham, T. Ralph (Princella) Cunningham, granddaughters, Marquitas “Na” Clay, Terona “Tiny” Cummins, Vera “DeeDee” Cummins, Jacqueline Marks, and Karolyn Marks, 3 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-Great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. 

Visitation will be held on 13 Sept, 2019, from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, at Lee Chapel AME Church, 1200D B Todd ,Blvd, Nashville, TN.  Funeral services will be conducted on 9 Sep 2019 at 12:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home -Hickman County Chapel.  Burial will follow in the East Side Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
