William Earl Cross of Nashville, died Saturday, August 10, 2002 at Veteran’s Hospital. The funeral was held Monday, August 12 at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Charles Helm, pastor of Trinity Assembly of God, officiating. Burial was at Williams Cemetery. Mr. Cross, 67, was the son of the late Harvey and Myrtle Roden Cross. He was born February 15, 135 in Hickman County. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a carpet installer. He is survived by a daughter, Reba Proctor of Hohenwald; two sons, Jack Cross of Hohenwald, and Greg Cross of Humboldt; two brothers, Atlas Cross of Iron City and Donald Cross of Hohenwald; five sisters, Vera Porter of Fairview, Glenda Tanner of Centerville, Karen Turner of Hohenwald, Darlene Banfield of Smyra, and Gail Brooks of Columbia; five grandchildren and a special friend, Jeanette McCormick of Nashville.
