Cook, Brenda Pennington
Ms. Brenda Pennington Cook passed away on February 19, 2025, in Smyrna, TN from complications associated with lymphedema.
She is survived by her son Walter, daughter-in-law Cindy, and grandson Jacob Cook, as well as her two cousins, Rick and David Stevens. She is preceded in death by her father Leroy Pennington, mother Lilliam Pennington Camp, and stepfather Lloyd Camp.
Brenda was born in Hohenwald, TN, on December 1, 1945. In 1962, she married and moved to the Sunrise Community on Swan Creek in Hickman County. She gave birth to her only child, a son named Walter, in 1963. The Cook family moved to Lewisburg, TN, in 1970. While there, she obtained her real estate license and sold real estate in Marshall County until the Cook family moved to Franklin, TN, in 1983, where she had a very successful career in real estate until her retirement in 2011. Upon retirement, she relocated to Smyrna, Tn, to be close to her son and his family.
All will miss her warm personality and infectious smile.
A graveside service for Brenda at Downey Cemetery on Highway 48 North will be held on April 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
