Anita’s heart was always full, as evidenced by the love she poured into her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Lewis Coleman, her loving daughter, Lorisa Risner, and her adored grandson, Carson Risner. Anita’s maternal embrace extended far beyond the reach of her immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Professionally, Anita dedicated many years as a school bus driver for Lewis County Schools as well as a secretary for Lewis County Middle School. Her commitment to the children and staff was unwavering, and she was known for going above and beyond her duties. Anita wasn’t just an employee; she was a friend, a mentor, and a second mother to many. Her kindness and dedication to the school community left an indelible mark that will be always remembered.
Anita had a zest for life that was contagious. Her interests were as varied as they were enthusiastic. She found joy in fishing, reveling in the serenity it offered and the thrill of the catch. Shopping was more than a pastime for Anita; it was an adventure, often shared with friends and family. But perhaps what she cherished most was spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Known for her boundless generosity, Anita was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her heart was as big as her smile, and she never hesitated to offer support, comfort, or a plate of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Every year, without fail, Anita would bake these sweet treats for the kids that rode her bus, a small gesture that meant the world to each child and left a sweet memory of her kindness.
Loving, friendly, and generous – these words only begin to describe Anita. Her presence was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
