Clower, James Frank, Sr
James Frank Clower, Sr., born April 5th, 1928 to the late Noah Clower and Nora Clower (Kennedy), passed away on Friday, August 23rd at his residence surrounded by his family, at the age of 91.
Mr. Clower was a WWII Naval Veteran, serving following the attack on Pearl Harbor, according to family he helped to rebuild Pearl Harbor following the attacks. He was a Seaman, First Class, receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Medal & Victory Medal. After leaving the Navy, he moved back to the states and worked as an Iron Worker with Industrial Contractors. He loved Chevy Corvair’s, buying his first one for $1200. He was a loving father to all his kids and grandkids, and will be missed by all that knew him.
Preceding him in death is his parents, Noah & Nora Clower, daughter, Amy Jo Staggs & brothers, Harold & Vernon Clower.
Survivors include his son, James Clower Jr. (Regina Davis) of Hohenwald, daughters, Natasha Clark (Brandon) of Hohenwald, Vicki Germann (Ed) of North Carolina, Eugena Power (Derrick) of Hohenwald, Julia Clower of Westmoreland, Janice Mills of Columbia, TN, Peggy Martin of Columbia, TN, Teressa Crutcher of Hohenwald, TN, 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 25 2019, at 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30 AM and continue until service time. Burial will follow at the Napier Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN with Naval Honors being conducted.
