Lewis Edward Cleaton, Jr was born on March 28, 1955 in Walton County, GA to the late Mildred and Ed Cleaton. He went home to be with Jesus on September 20th, 2023.

He married Denise Wren Cleaton on August 22, 1975. They had 45 wonderful years together. She was his best friend and the love of his life. They have one son, William Jamison Cleaton and two daughters, Mildred Elizabeth Lambert and Cynthia Marie Harrington.

Lewis, or Skeeter as he was known by, was a much loved Dad and Papa to his own children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and many more. Skeeter rarely missed an opportunity to see any of them play softball or basketball or sing. He loved everyone like family. If he knew about a need he was quick to offer help. Skeeter was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church where he served in many different capacities over the years. His love for family was second only to his love for God.

Skeeter was survived by his children, Jamie, Millie and Cindy and his sons-in-law, Jeremiah Lambert and Derick Harrington. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Chase Lambert, Victoria Cleaton, Blake Lambert, Seth Cleaton, Tyler Harrington and Katie Harrington and great-granddaughter, Logan Lambert.

Skeeter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Denise, who he missed for the last 3 years and has now been reunited with.

There will be visitation with the family on October 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairfield Baptist Church immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is invited to stay and have lunch and fellowship following the Celebration of Life.
