Cynthia Denise Cleaton was born on March 24th, 1958 in Newton County, GA to the late Gertrude & Alonzo Wren. She went home to be with Jesus on October 14, 2020 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN.

On August 22, 1975 Denise married her best friend and the love of her life, Lewis Edward (Skeeter) Cleaton, Jr. They have one son, William Jamison Cleaton & two daughters Mildred Elizabeth Lambert & Cynthia Marie Harrington.

Denise was a beloved Mom & Grandma to her own family and countless others. She enjoyed cutting grass, being outside, and anything that involved spending time with her family. She loved to sing and play the piano. Denise was a long-time member of Fairfield Baptist Church & loved to tell people about Jesus. She was an amazing woman of God. Her love and compassion touched countless people.

Denise is survived by her husband Skeeter, her children Jamie, Millie & Cindy, her siblings Diane Messer & Larry Wren. She also leaves behind sons-in-law Jeremiah Lambert & Derick Harrington and daughter-in-law Danielle Cleaton, grandchildren Chase Lambert, Victoria Cleaton, Blake Lambert, Seth Cleaton, Tyler Harrington, Katie Harrington, Shelby Risk & Grayson Anderson and great-granddaughter Logan Lambert.

We know some people may want to send flowers or a token of love for the family. Please consider contributing to the youth program at Fairfield Baptist church. It was close to her heart. 

Visitation will be 17 October 2020 at 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.
