Clark, Edna Earl
Edna Earl Clark was born on December 3, 1921, in Dickson, Tennessee and passed away on May 28, 2019, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was 97 years, 5 months and 25 days old. She is the daughter of the late John Earl Griffin and Annie Hailey Griffin.
She was preceded by her husband Baxter Clark. They were married for 64 years at the time of his passing in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Stamey of Georgia, her granddaughters, Beverly Dukes of Georgia and Karen Moffatt of Georgia along with other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Mrs. Edna Earl worked as a school teacher in Hickman County for 36 years. She started at the small school at Little Spring Creek and later moved to the Pinewood Elementary School, and then to the school in Centerville. She loved to Garden and grew vegetable and flowers of all kinds. Her garden was over an acre, leaving her plenty to share with neighbors and friends. She also enjoyed music. She listened to Country and Blue Grass. Mrs. Edna really enjoyed quilting, all of which she did by hand. She never considered any of it work.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 31, at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens in Centerville, TN.
