Douglas Brown Church, age 89, of the Shady Grove community, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN.

Born on June 3, 1932, in Hickman County, he was the son of the late Robert H. Church and Iola Baker Church. He married Ruby Puckett on December 20, 1952. Mr. Church was a farmer and drove a school bus for the Hickman County schools for 37 years.

In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is survived by his daughter, Faye (Will) McEwen of Duck River, TN, his son, Jeff (Marrie Davis) of Duck River, TN, granddaughters, Kate Rodgers (Nathan Ring) of Denver, CO, and Becky Holt (Bret), and great-granddaughter, Ellie Holt of Round Lake Beach, IL and brother, Billie Church of Duck River, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Church is also predeceased by his sister, Ruth Tucker, two brothers, Robert and Fred Church, and sister-in-law, Alma Church.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM at The Stand Cemetery in the Shady Grove community, Duck River, TN.
