Thressa Ellen Carroll died Sunday, November 30, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 65. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 4, 2003, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rex Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Oaks Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Leroy Harold Downs, Jr. and Jeffery Lynn Downs both of Hohenwald and James Nathaniel Downs of Gladwin MI. One daughter Paula Marie Rich of Hohenwald. Two sisters, Doris Danowski of Roscommon, MI. and Doris McCormick of Belleville, MI. Also eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Carroll was born March 31, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Bason Bills.
