Carroll, Larry Taylor
Larry Taylor Carroll, age 70, husband of Linda Carroll, and a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Friday evening, July 9, 2021, at St. Thomas West Hospital.
Born on July 3, 1951, in Morgan County, Michigan, Larry was the son of the late William Fate Carroll and the late Blanche Evelyn Bryant Carroll. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a man of few words but had a heart full of love and was one who stood for what he believed. He loved his Lord and served Him by helping others in need in many different ways. His family and friends knew they could count on him for help any time they needed it. He was a member of New Life Church in Lewisburg. Larry enjoyed fishing and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He proudly doted about them but also enjoyed picking on them and aggravated them, just as they did to him. He had a special love for his beloved Schnauzer, Mojo who passed away in 2019 and his two present Schnauzers, Otis and Brody, who are deeply grieving his loss.
He was preceded in death by Cagney Taylor Brown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Larry Michael Carroll of Hohenwald, Lori Michelle (Jason) Gray of Washington State, Vince Morgan of Ethridge, and Monica Morgan and Jeremy Morgan, both of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Gary (Debbie) Carroll of Hohenwald; sister, Tammy (Rick) Brown of Hohenwald; grandchildren, Aaliyah Merriman, Gabriella Carroll, Roman Gray, Jackson Gray, John Michael (Faith) Morgan, Jordan (Carter) Clanton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
