Carroll, Hunter Wayne
Hunter Wayne Carroll was born June 29, 2006 in Columbia, to Billy Wayne Carroll and Kathy Cooper Carroll. Hunter will be lovingly remembered for his smile that brightened every room he walked in. He loved to ride around, especially on the backroads. If he was out around sunset, he could often be found on dynamite hill, simply watching the sun set. Hunter was crafty and loved to shop, especially at Hobby Lobby. He will also be remembered for his love for fireworks and candles. Hunter departed this life at the age of 17.
Survivors include his father, Billy Wayne Carroll and friend Amy; his mother, Kathy Cooper Carroll; two sisters, Ashley Carroll of Clarkesville, Georgia; Lexie Wells of Clifton; paternal grandmother, Girdie Carroll; maternal grandmother, Eva Cooper, both of Waynesboro; and his nephew, Rolland. Hunter is also survived by his uncles, Bobby Carroll and Sarah “Saycup” of Waynesboro; Tommy Carroll and Bill Holloway of Columbia; Joe Carroll and wife Jennifer of Lawrenceburg; Donnie Carroll and wife Julie of Waynesboro; aunts, Betty Williams and husband Doug of Hohenwald; Stacey Battles “Aunt Stac” of Clifton; great aunts, Neva Andrews, Brenda Staggs, Deborah Wilson, and a host of loving cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Malcolm Carroll; maternal grandfather, Billy Cooper; uncles, Mike Carroll; William Carroll and a great uncle, Johnny Andrews.
Visitation with the Carroll family and funeral Services were held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Waynesboro Church of Christ with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial followed in North Highland Cemetery.
