Capps, Mildred Faye
Mildred Faye Capps, beloved sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away Monday December 13, 2021 after losing her strong fight to covid19. She was 76 years of age.
Mildred, a lifelong believer of God, was born October 12, 1945 to her parents Doc and Johnnie Haskins. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Doc and Johnnie Haskins, along with her brother Charles Haskins. Mildred survived alongside her sister Ruby Seiber, her husband Robert Guy Capps, children Leonard Capps, Robert Ray Capps, and Alisha Faye Moore, along with many grandchildren and some great grandchildren.
Mildred loved the lord. She was faithful to her church and congregation, Wrigley Church of God of Prophecy, for many decades. She would not miss a Sunday church service unless she was ill. She knew all her brothers and sisters of God and would greet them all with her warm smile.
Mildred was a wonderful friend to everyone she met. Mildred could make anyone smile on their worst day. She lit up a room with her beauty and kind heart. She was selfless and would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it.
She flourished in everything she did, but Mildred would probably tell you that her biggest accomplishments were the family and friends she made. Mildred’s pride and joy were all her friends and family. She was the best stay at home mom and wife. She cared deeply for those around her. Though, she wasn’t afraid to tell you her opinion, she would always make sure you knew that you had her support. Even while sick in the hospital, she only worried about everyone else.
She loved the color purple so much that her bedroom is all purple, comforter set and all. She loved butterflies and angels so much she had pictures, stickers, or figurines of them all over her home and vehicle. She had more clothes than most outlet stores. She loved jewelry and perfume.
She was a great woman to have in your life. She’s a huge inspiration. She passed surrounded by friends and family who loved her dearly. She will always be honored and remembered by anyone who knew her. Mildred chose to be cremated with no service, however the family has chosen to have a small memorial to celebrate and remember the time they had on earth with this special lady.
A Memorial Service will be held 8 Jan 2022 at 1:00 PM at Empowered Ministries Church, 119 W Christie Drive, Dickson, TN 37055.
