Canady, Douglas Walker
Douglas Walker Canady, born December 24, 1936, in Totty’s Bend, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Duey and Sara Eugene Plunkett Canady, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in Centerville, Tennessee, at the age of 88.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Macie Canady, Margaret Canady, Virginia Parker, and Norma Halfacre, and his brother, Ralph Canady. He is survived by his son, Brian Canady, his sisters, Shirley Mohon and Carol Clahane, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Douglas had a deep love for nature and the outdoors, finding joy in gardening and tending to his beautiful flower beds. He was known for his warm heart and kind spirit, and he cherished his relationships with family and friends. His unwavering kindness and generous nature made him a friend to all who knew him.
Douglas’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The family is honoring Mr. Canady’s wish for cremation.
