Nena Ward Campbell was born in Newport, Georgia on July 15, 1933, and passed away on September 13, 2023, in Waverly, Tennessee. She was 90 years old.

She is the daughter of the late Cliff and Flora Kimsey Ward.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Albert Campbell and sons Eddie Ward and Kenny Ward.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Dickens of Nunnelly. Sisters, June Everett of Centerville, Tennessee, and Ruth Brackett of Blairsville, Georgia, and brother, Kenneth Ward of Decatur, Georgia. five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Mrs. Campbell owned the Dairy Dip in Centerville, Tennessee for around 10 years and owned the Catfish Kitchen in Dickson for around 9 years before retiring.

She was a member of the New Antioch Church of Christ and faithfully attended until her health would not allow it.

On the weekends you could find her at the Tennessee River fishing, cooking out, or cruising around on her pontoon boat. She shared many good times with her children and grandchildren there. She was a proud mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Visitation with the family will be 15 Sep 2023 from  4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be held 16 Sep 2023 at 4:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
