Elaine Irene Dankert Callis, of Nunnelly, was born July 29, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Paul and Wanda Conff Dankert and died November 28, 2020, at the age of 80 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Callis is preceded in death by her husband William Callis and her son Edward Bland and his wife Sharon.

Mrs. Callis is survived by daughters Barbara (Ruben, deceased) McCain and Paulette (Ron) Dahms both of Nunnelly and son Charles (Barbara) Bland of Jackson, grandchildren Christopher Isbell, Gary Methax, Charles Bland, Leslie Reynolds, Madison Williams, Brandon Hinson, Lucas Bland, Bridget Bland, Elaine Rollison, and Nicole Dahms and great-grandchildren Brooke, CJ, Angel, Mia, Sawyer, Maura, Lexi, Blake, Hunter, and Nathan.

Mrs. Callis has lived in Hickman County for 15 years and was a member of Moose, Bucksnort Fire & Rescue, and the Hickman County Senior Citizens Center.

A memorial service is being planned for the Spring of 2021.
