Buchanan, Leo
Leo Buchanan, age 68, of Big Opossum Rod, Linden, died near his home on Monday, May 27, 2002. He was born on October 31, 1933 in Green County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Roy Lawrence and Kathryn Dils Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan was a retired bus driver and farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, was serving as Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star, Hohenwald Chapter 393 and a Protestant. An Eastern Star funeral service was conducted at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro Wednesday evening, May 29. Later in the week the funeral was held at the Mandley Funeral Home in Fairview Park, Ohio. Burial was in the Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River, Ohio. Survivors include two sons, Roy Leo Buchanan of Charleston, West Virginia, and William Buchanan of Mahwah, New Jersey; two daughters, Patty Bower of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Peggy Gornick of Seward, Pennsylvania; one brother, John Buchanan of Eulic, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Charlene Miller Buchanan, who died April 19, 1989, and Kenneth and Robert Buchanan.
