Bryant, Paul Foster
Paul Foster Bryant was born October 29, 1936, in Bryant Station, Maury County, Tennessee, and passed away August 19, 2019, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Harrison Francis and Fannie Osborne Bryant.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Andrew Bryant, and one nephew, Johnny Bryant, all of Maury County, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Garrett Bryant, his daughter, Kathy (David) Brown and three grandchildren, Luke, Gracie, and Sam Brown.
Paul was a 1954 graduate of Central High School in Columbia. He enlisted and served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Mediterranean Sea area and in Lebanon in the Middle East, completing his service as a Corporal. He and Liz married and moved to Bryant Station, and then to Lawrenceburg. He completed training with the TN Highway Patrol in April, 1961. Paul advanced in rank and they lived in Lawrenceburg until his retirement as Captain of the 7th District, including 11 mid-state counties. After retirement, he was employed seven years as a service driver for Steve Williams Ford in Lawrenceburg. There, he enjoyed staying busy, seeing and meeting people, and retired from Steve Williams just before moving to Centerville, TN in 2002. He was a member of the Centerville Church of Christ in Centerville, a Mason, and a Shriner.
Visitation will be held on 21 Aug, 2019, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on 22 Aug 2019, at 11:00 AM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Haynes Cemetery, Culleoka, TN.
