Brown, Kenneth Edward
Kenneth Edward Brown, affectionately known as “Big Ken” to his family and friends, left this world to embark on his eternal journey on September 24, 2025, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, at the age of 57. Born on July 4, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth’s life was a celebration of joy and love, much like the fireworks displayed every year.
Kenneth’s early years were spent under the loving care of his late parents, Wiley and Imogene Brown. His journey took him from Chicago to the landscapes of Hohenwald, where he would eventually lay down roots and build a life rich in community and nature. Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Donna M. Brown, and was a cherished husband to Donna Hinson Brown and a devoted father to Trisha Brown and Stephen Blackwood. His love extended to his bonus children, Diana Silva, Matthew Chobanian, Gary Hudgins, and Miranda Parker.
He was a beloved brother to Bobby (Amy) Brown, Tammy (Mike) Ricketts, and Carolyn (Jim) Williams. Although predeceased by his nephew, Derrick Brown, his memory will continue through his grandchildren, Kandace Williams, Kendra Blackwood, and Kolton Blackwood, as well as his bonus grandchildren, Isiah, Ian, Addie, and Cheyanne Hudgins, and Zane and Walker Silva. To continue on his memory he is survived by his nieces Brandi, Jasmine, Hannah, and Madison; and his great nieces and nephew Avery, Landree, and Henry. In addition to his nieces and nephews he developed a special bond with John, Sebastian, Xena, and Bella.
Kenneth’s professional life was deeply intertwined with the city of Hohenwald, where he was not just an employee but also a friend and a familiar face to all. A man of many interests, Kenneth found peace in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a lover of the great outdoors. His happiest moments were spent observing wildlife, piddling in his outdoor building, and sharing laughter with his loved ones. His comforting smile and spirit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Kenneth’s sense of humor was unmatched, and his kind, loving nature made him a light in the lives of many. His ability to joke around created an atmosphere of warmth and happiness that will be dearly missed.
